About the Role
COPA Resourcing Group are recruiting experienced Cherry Picker Operators for a long-term pylon check erect project across two sites in Scotland. This is an excellent opportunity for dual-ticketed operatives looking for stable, consistent work on a major energy infrastructure project.
With a minimum 16-month contract, regular hours, and overtime available, this is the kind of long-term opportunity that doesn't come around often.
Project Details
- 📍 Locations: Tranent, East Lothian & Rosyth, Fife
- 📅 Contract Length: 16 months minimum
- ⏰ Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:15 – 17:15
- ⚡ Overtime: Available as required
- 💷 Pay: £21.00 per hour CIS
What You'll Be Doing
- Operating boom lift / cherry picker equipment safely at height to support the steel erection gang
- Acting as Slinger Banksman when required — directing crane lifts and attaching loads safely
- Carrying out pre-operational checks on all MEWP equipment before use
- Working closely with the wider gang and site management team
- Adhering to all site safety rules, risk assessments, and Work at Height Regulations
What You'll Need
To be considered for this role you must hold the following:
- ✅ Valid IPAF PAL Card (3a/3b — Mobile Boom / Cherry Picker)
- ✅ Valid Slinger Banksman Certificate (CPCS or equivalent)
- ✅ CSCS Card
- ✅ Proven experience operating MEWPs on construction or infrastructure sites
- ✅ Comfortable working at height in all weather conditions
- ✅ Full commitment to a long-term 16-month contract
- ✅ Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
