About the Role
COPA Resourcing Group are recruiting two experienced Steel Erector Supervisors for a long-term pylon check erect project across two sites in Scotland. This is a senior site role and a fantastic opportunity for an experienced supervisor looking for a high-profile, long-term contract on a major energy infrastructure project.
With a minimum 16-month contract, consistent hours, and overtime available, this is the kind of substantial, rewarding project that experienced supervisors want on their CV.
Project Details
- 📍 Locations: Tranent, East Lothian & Rosyth, Fife
- 📅 Contract Length: 16 months minimum
- ⏰ Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 07:15 – 17:15
- ⚡ Overtime: Available as required
- 💷 Rate: Negotiable — call us to discuss
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading and managing a steel erection gang on a pylon check erect project
- Reading and interpreting structural drawings and engineer's specifications
- Planning and supervising all lifting operations on site
- Conducting toolbox talks, risk assessments, and method statements
- Ensuring all steelwork is erected safely, on time, and to specification
- Acting as the key point of contact between the gang and the principal contractor
- Monitoring site safety standards and taking immediate action where required
What You'll Need
To be considered for this role you must hold the following:
- ✅ Gold CSCS Card (ECITB NVQ Level 3 in Steel Erecting)
- ✅ SSSTS or SMSTS Certificate
- ✅ Significant hands-on steel erection experience at supervisory level
- ✅ Ability to read and interpret structural and engineering drawings
- ✅ Slinger Banksman ticket — desirable
- ✅ Strong communication and team leadership skills
- ✅ Full commitment to a long-term 16-month contract
- ✅ Reliable, professional, and able to lead by example on site
