Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tire Technician to join our team working on HGV's. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and replacement of tyres on various vehicles. This role requires a keen attention to detail and a commitment to providing excellent service to our customers. The Tire Technician will also assist in maintaining a safe and efficient working environment.
Duties
- Inspect tyres for wear, damage, and proper inflation.
- Remove and replace tyres on vehicles, ensuring proper installation techniques are followed.
- Perform wheel alignments and balancing as required.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment and tools used in tyre servicing.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries and concerns regarding tyre care.
- Assist with deliveries as needed, including driving flatbed vehicles or lorries for tyre transport.
Skills
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in tyre servicing preferred.
- Ability to operate commercial vehicles, including flatbed lorries, is advantageous.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
- Capability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid driver's licence is required; experience as a delivery driver is a plus.
